I love that within the work heart there is art – HE{ART}! Perhaps this is why you have to put your heart into your art?
February is the month where all the stores start to fill with paper hearts, and colors pink, red and white. But, why not celebrate the heart all year round? For me, this month varies from sentiment (Enjoying the process of making individual valentines by hand) to practicality (like the year I begged for a Dyson for my Valentine’s Day gift. Yes, I wanted a Vacuum cleaner instead of a diamond necklace, so what?). This year, it is filled with gratitude.
The heart can fill with so many things. From life to death, from overwhelm to joy, there are so many ways it will keep us going no matter what fills it. And I am grateful for this.
This is my favorite found heart in nature photograph. I’ve yet to find another one that is so perfect. At my last show, a lady purchased this as a print to add to her Heart Collection. There will be a few more available at the Heart Local Art Show in West Seattle! Hope to see you there – Holli
